This contacts manager for Android empowers you to import or export contacts to/from Android phone easily. I did an export out of MS BCM and Account Sub Type and Contact Sub Type are fields exported.1 Import/Export Contacts to/from Android Phone The contacts Acct Name field it will create the link IF the record exists OR create a new record if the named Acct Name does not exist? I just want make sure that the Account name field would associate the link between the two account types!! I assume if I put the data in I don't want it to create the records, as I'll be importing both the contacts and the accounts separately. it wouldn't automatically link multiple contacts to ONE acct record?

it would create 10 of the same account names when there should be one. I believe I have to create, via import, the account first, as all my individual contact records contain an Acct Name with them.

RE #4 answer above: I may have 10 contacts that link to one account. You may link Contacts with Accounts once the Accounts are created or once the corresponding Contact is created. *.CSV file type will not store information about Contacts linking to Accounts.Ħ. Name similar to Accounts would be linked to the appropriate Accounts.ĥ. However you can try the other way also, all Contacts with We suggest go for Contacts first and then accounts, by that the linking of Contacts with Account would be done. While importing it will prompt you with certain options “Import duplicate items”, “Do not Import duplicate items” etc. If you are referring to link between BCM contact and BCM account, by importing the field data BCM would create the link between the BCM contact and BCM account of the sameģ. If the field is available by default it would be mapped otherwise while importing youĢ. You can import all fields for a Business contact manager account as well as contact. Also what is the "Contact SubType" field and how is it created or used?ġ. All of this would be vice verse if I am told I should import the Business Contacts first, as then I'd like to fill out the "Parent Account Name" field to create the appropriate link to a Account I would later be importing into BCM.ħ. Which should I import 1st? Account records or Business Contacts? and why?ĥ. Will BCM create a new Business Contact record or overwrite or append any previously existing Business Contact record with the same name when I import?Ĥ. By importing the field data, will BCM create the link between the two Record Types?ģ. This field is not in the Business Contact Manager Business Record type but is in the Business Contact Manager Account type of record due to it's status asĪ linkable field between the two types of records?Ģ. Should I use and import a "Primary Contact" field, which is a unique field in BCM Account.

My main question regards which record type to import first, and how to use the import to handle the linking of business contacts to account records.ġ. I'll be doing separate imports for Business Contact types of records, ie Business Contact vs Account records. I'll be importing into Outlook Businesss Contact Manager from either Excel or cvs file soon.
